Our small independent photographic school is starting to be known as one of the UK’s leading photographic part-time courses, aimed at the individuals who are looking to launch a career in photography or improve their photographic skills.

There are no academic entry requirements – we are more interested in your passion, talent and determination to succeed. We have a variety of part-time programmes to fit your needs, whether you’re a school leaver looking to build on your academic experience with a highly practical photographic programme, a working professional considering a change in career direct, or an amateur wanting to improve your skills. Our photographic course will offer you a wealth of knowledge to assist you in gaining the skills you need.

We are a passionate team of professional photographers, with years of experience to share, and seek to prepare our students to make the most of their photography.

The learning experience is most effective when you actively take part in the process. Wherever possible we avoid the lecture format, and most of your time will be spent in the studio or on location. We will put you in challenging situations to help you understand what you know and do not know. We will then give you access to the knowledge and skills you need to solve that challenge, the support to reflect and adopt your own response in relation to acquired knowledge and skills, and the opportunity to put that learning into action. You will quickly appreciate that you will learn and develop as much from your mistakes as your successes.

Our course programmes range from beginners in digital photography, studio lighting and night stock photography. We occasionally have guest speaker nights where a professional photographer will talk about their passion and how they made it to the top.

We like to keep our classes small with a maximum of five students, both the digital photography and studio lighting courses will have the opportunity to photograph a model and try different lighting set-ups.

We also offer one-on-one training for students that require a more bespoke course to their needs.
